Synchronicities on Memorial Day.

I Need A Get Away

Memorial Day weekend was coming and I wanted to have an experience.

I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something amazing. And while I had looked at possibly going to San Francisco to see my favorite DJ perform, or going to a retreat in Asheville, NC, I ultimately decided to pamper myself and looked into going to the Berkeley Springs, WVA for a spa destination trip. And then I thought, why don’t I do a spa day here and support a woman in business that I know.

That led me to booking an overnight getaway at EdgyZen Spa in Alexandria. My time would consist of an hour of private yoga, followed by acupressure/zero rebalancing massage, followed by the infrared sauna, followed by the whirlpool hot tub. I would then spend the night.

While I was planning this out, I was also going back and forth with a photographer about doing a photoshoot at a different time. This photographer is in the DC area and her mission is to capture the essence of women being in their power. I loved this…
